My parents and I had a big misunderstanding today.
See, I thought that by turning 18, I would get to be an adult, and that would mean I'd get to choose my own clothes, my own food, my own toys, and even my own books:
I got all ready to register to vote, so I could take a stand on the issues important to me:
Since I thought I was draft-eligible, I even did my best Uncle Sam impersonation:
Then Daddy and Mama explained to me that being an adult means more work and responsibilities. I realized I'd rather have them continue to take care of me for the next 16 and half years (or more). So, thank goodness I'm only 18 months and get to continue being a kid.
